Dual Diagnosis, Evaluation and Treatment Strategies

It is estimated that 50-70% of all addicts have a co-occurring disorder.  Due to such high incidence, it is imperative that professionals become familiar with effective diagnostic and treatment protocol for these individuals.  Participants will learn how to complete an in-depth biopsychosocial assessment to evaluate for co-occurring diagnosis.  In addition, treatment strategies and protocols will be introduced, along with applied pharmacology and symptomology of individuals exhibiting co-occurring disorders.
